I have cupramine and prazipro. What do you suggest i start about medicating my new anthiases? They look like stocky anthiases. They are pink color with a bit of red in the tail fins.

What do you suggest?

Not entirely sure what you are asking .....

You will need a tank large enough to house all 10 fish comfortably, and a biofilter to match. Personally I do not treat anthias prophylactically for ich, though I do for flukes or worms.

They are not eating yet. I want quarantine them for couple weeks before sending to dt

If they are not eating yet....I would hold off on the Prazipro since it's known to suppress the appetite of some fish. Get them eating first, since they are an active fish and burn a lot of energy.

I currently have 3 Waitei Anthias in my 30 g QT. They have already went through the TTM. They are considered a difficult fish to acclimate and keep....I have to say they are right. I tried everything. My first break came with adding some random flow to the tank by using a wave maker. Secondly....I heard some people having some success with using Garlic Extreme as an appetite stimulant. I read that the key ingredient in garlic called Allicin loses its potency quickly.

Hence....I used my maceraing juicer and juiced up fresh garlic. I added only 1-2 drops in the tank, and then added my frozen brine....and like magic they started eating. Success!! For now I use the garlic as a stimulant before adding the food, and my Anthias are eating very well. I have also gotten them to eat pellets as well.

With the TTM I was using a seeded sponge filter from my DT, and Prime to combat any toxic ammonia.

I added yesterday 16 drops of cuperamine into a 125l qt. This morning all 10 anthias died.

I tested copper with salifert test kit. Results shows no coloration means no detectable copper in the qt.

Ammonia is acceptable with seachem ammonia alert.

What do you think was the problem? The anthiases died slowly not at once. Started with the small ones first. When they died they had big mouth. No sign of skin rot or anything. They havent been eating since they arrived. They are wildly caught. I am not sure if fisherman used cyanide.

What do you think killed them?

What do you think is the problem?

What is big mouth? Does that mean they died trying to get water through their gills with mouth wide open? Sounds like a parasite and a quick one if all died rather quickly. If parasite was too numerous and far advanced , the cupramine may have been added too late.
