I gave my husband some coral frags and they had a few zoas on them. The zoas are now taking over his rocks and he wants to remove them. Unfortunately, these are not pieces of live rock that we can easily removed from the tank - we'd pretty much have to rip the tank apart to get these rocks out. They have spread over a relatively large area, so it's not like we can pick them off one by one, either.
So how can you remove zoas from live rock in the tank? I thought about zapping them with some kalkwasser paste, like we do the aptasia (sp?), but I'm concerned it will mess with his calcium levels if we use too much. Will Joes Juice work?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
