How do you take okay photos with a smartphone?

I just want to take a decent picture with my iPhone that doesn't end up just being completely saturated with blue and looking horrible. What sort of filters should I use? Is there a good app for this? Thanks!

Camera stores sell cheap plastic colored filters in sheets. I shoot thru an orange colored sheet. Here are some iPhone shots:

Yep, I'm using an orange filter as well. I also have an app called Camera+ that has a lot of adjustments that help, but it's the filter that really does it.

if you don't have a filter, you can press the phone flat against your tank and zoom in to the coral then take the picture.

if you have LED's that can be controlled, turn down the blues.
I currently have my Hydra 26 HD settings set to a color I like and it allows me to take Iphone pics with no issues.

I'm not trying to plug my own stuff here, but there's an app for that "Aquarium Camera" iPhone/iPad only at the moment but working on Android.

I don't think you need any other application when you have an iPhone. just focus well and you can use many filters like chrome in ios 10 version and in ios 11 version there are much more filters available.
