How do you transfer clownfish babies to a grow out tank?

So I have read of people using various methods, but how would you transfer babies from a 10g to a larger grow out tank? Thanks Lou

I use a 1/2 gallon spesimin container. It works great for me. I just slide it really slow on the bottom of the tank until I get to the end and most of the time the babies swim in on their own. Normaly two or three scoops and I'm done.

Jay that sounds like a nice easy way to do it that wouldn't harm the babies. If you can, please a picture of the container or a link to where I can get on. Thanks for the information.

I second the specimen container, especially if they under 3 months old. Once they get pass 3 months, I usually just scoop them up with a fish net.

Thank you for the info. I will try that method. There are just so many of them that I am afraid that I may squish some of them :(

I only have a about 5g of water in a 10g tank. So the container isn't totally under water. Just rotate the container back before you hit the end and you shouldn't smash any of them

Use your hand to wave them in it. Sometimes when they ball up in the corners I syphon them into a collection cup. I never use nets.

How old are the juves when you transfer them? I have 15 day old ocellaris that have gone through meta. I find myself in a space squeeze with a clarkii hatch due tomorrow. Would they be ok in a grow out system with low flow to their tank? I usually wait until they are 3-4 week old. Thanks
