How does one eliminate microbubbles?

Just to be certain that it isn't the sump configuration could you overfill your system and turn off the skimmer? Just temporarily eliminate the sources of bubbles from the baffles and skimmer.

Ok, no video yet. I'll have to post it tomorrow. But here are some pics per Blurry's request. First is a pic of the system. Second is the right side of the sump where the DT drains into a 100 micron filter sock, into the Sedra 9000 pump to the ASM G4x skimmer, then over baffle #1, under #2, over #3, and under #4, then to the return 1" bulkhead to the Iwaki MD40 and to the display. I even tried turning my skimmer off for a bit and that didn't do a thing.

take a close look at the sock and see if bubbles are blowing through it. I had to double sock mine for the same issues you are having.

Even if there are bubbles coming out of the filter sock, the skimmer is dumping LOADS of bubbles in through it's drain. The water on the left side of the baffles appears to be quite clear. Unfortunately, I don't have a working flashlight to shine through it to get a real look.

Double up on the drain and sock the drain on the skimmer. I found out on my system that's high flow sump can carry bubbles through the baffles.

Also make sure you have bubbles and not some small floating debris

I'll sock my skimmer drain. I will report back later. Thank you, Blurry, Dave and Scott for all your helpful advice!
