How does the Tunze Wavebox work with an Overflow?

So, are you under license to farm Acropora palmata or whats up with the crazy flow. I guess when you have a crash you have a spa at least  Looks good Sean.

It also does stress the tank and should absolutely not be used on poorly built or old aquariums, we approixmate a 10% loss of life time of the aquarium.

Roger, do you consider an AGA 90 gallon reef ready tank to be built well enough to handle a wavebox? If so is the overflow on the newer AGA 90's centered enough to be able to use the wavebox?

Thanks

SeanT - What size tank are you setting up to need six streams, two sea swirls and a wavebox? I can't wait to see pictures of this beast. :)

Yes, name brand aquaria that are relatively new shouldn't be a problem at all. The overflow is fine.

Tanks already set up. It is an AGA 180.
It sounds like a lot of flow but remember that of the 6 sea swirls, 3 run non-stop and are plumbed to my return pump but the other 3 will only be on for a total of 12 hours a day.

would it work in a 8 foot tenecor acyrlic tank? the tank is about 3 years old now, i am woundering if the acyrlic can hold the movement produced by the wavebox?

The strength of the acrylic isn't a problem. We have not done any tests with acrylic and I have never owned an acrylic tank so it might be best to let a die hard try this first. I don't see any issues besides the mounting difficulties and having enough clearance 3/4" minimum for the unit to take in air at the top under the braces.
