how fast do dersa's grow.

Placed a dersa at the bot of my tank two months ago and it has already but on apparent growth.

it about 5 inches long and has visibly grown, its under a 400w 14K and 250W 10K DE halide with 320w of t5 lighting so it has plenty of light, But at its current rate of growth need to start a stock move to make room.

so how fast can these things grow on avaerage?

Depends on the age... the older, the slower they grow. I'll say 0.5 to 3 inch per year :?

Mine has grown 2+ inch's in 8 months! 250w 20k XM's.

it dpends on the lighting they are kept underr i have kept them under 65Ks with growth of 4inches a year and they grow slower if kept under higher kelvin bulbs.

Another factor is the amount of calcium in the water....

Got my deresa in Very late october it has grown almost 2.5 inches so far, it was 4 inches when i got it
