How fast do they grow?

Hi all
I keep two small clown pandas and a small LTA.
I know it should have been bigger than the clowns but it is only slightly bigger than a one-fish waterbed. They sometimes overwhelm it, making it spend it's energy on retracting.

So now my concern is:
Who grows faster, clown pandas or long tentacle anemones?

I don't have experience with LTA's, but with the other species I have, a well lit and fed nem will grow pretty quickly.

FOOD/LIGHT/love....

Not always in that order, will make them grow. Be careful to not over feed any of them as it makes a mess when they are full.

Ah what a relief, I found an anemone I really wanted & forgot to look into growth rates on these nice critters. So I suddenly realised it was something I had not found much information about but love, light and food I got plenty of.

I think the anemone might have spit out some shrimp the other day. In the start I had to make the bits smaller, because I noticed it regurgitating a little round ball of shrimp. I read somewhere that regurgitating balls means the pieces are too big?

But the other day... suddenly all of the water column was full of floating messy semi-desolved shrimp.

I thought to myself that I might have overfed it and it simply threw out what it didn't want, is that somewhat correct :) ?

Think of the anemones stomach as a pouch. Food comes in like ours but from there it stops. All digestion and absorption is done there for the anemone. It then has to regurgitate undigested items.

If something hits its tentacle it will try to add it to what is already in there.

Feeding it once a week a eraser -> bottle cap (small one) size of food is acceptable. You have to know and see what its cycle is and how quick it digests.

The love part comes from making sure things like powerheads are covered as to not chop it up and spread it all over the tank while you are at work. ;)

Ahh good, so "a cup-of-shrimp" in proper portions and a ton of attention :) ...I think I will just go look in on it now..., I think I have been scared of it dying at least half the time I've kept it :)
