Alright I purchased a yellow tang 2 days ago from a LFS. I know I know.. QT QT QT. Well, I didnt, but I will from now on. Anyway, I acclimated and tossed him in. Sailfin gave him a hard time the first day, but yesterday they were swimming around together. He was eating fine and looked healthy.
I came home today around 5pm and after looking a little closer, the yellow tang is covered in white salt like spots. My first thought is ICH. Only thing is.. he is covered in spots... all fins, face, body... lots. Does ich spread that fast. I realize it lives dormant and can show when stressed, but does it spread that quick or am I looking at some other disease or fungus?
Can gets some pics if I need, but i think you get the idea. Thanks.
