How fast does noori dissolve?

I added a small one-spot foxface to my quarantine yesterday, and he's still pretty spooked and skittish. Pretty much hides whenever i get near, and seems to be generally terrified of me. He wouldn't eat for me yesterday or this morning (from what i can tell, since he won't move when i'm near it's possible he ate a little when I left the room), so today i put some noori on a food clip in the tank for him. So, we left for a couple hours after putting it in the tank, and when i came home, it was pretty much all gone. There is a descent amount of flow in the tank. My question, is whether or not it is likely he ate it, or if it's possible that it just dissolved.

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff?

I use that one also and mine stays on the clip in a moderate flow area until my fish pull it completely out of the clip.

IME nori doesn't really dissolve, but it does start to smell a little funky after it's been in the water for more than 24 hours or so. Your fish might have eaten it all, or perhaps as he was eating it, a big piece came off and it could be stuck in your rocks somewhere.

Nori comes in different colors and it's best if your fish will eat all the colors as they provide different nutrients for them. I've found the brown seaweed tends to be their least favorite and clouds the water. The green they eat pretty well...I have a bunch of algae eaters so I give about a third of a sheet on the clip and they eat it in a day. The red they seem to like the best and eat that in a half a day. I made a "bag" from 1/4" mesh and small cable ties and put the seaweed in that and then hang it off the clip. It falls apart less readily in a bag than just hanging on the clip.

I use New Era Marine Grazer for my Foxface,Tang,Pygmy Angel......round disc you put on suction cup stem.Fish have to work at getting it
