in the market for a auto top off and am interested in the osmolator. How happy have you been with the osmolator and would you buy one again. Any pros or cons and how do the sensory eyes work that regulate the water levels?? Any advice or experience would be helpful......

great these are the types of responses I was hoping for.....I have been topping off manually for 4 years I think ive earned the osmolator!!

Have used one on both of my last two tanks, wouldn't use anything else now over one, about as fool proof as they come.

Excellent product had mines for over 4 years.O know the cost is a bit high BUt worth every penny. If I draw a cup of water out of 200 gallons of water it knows it and full the system back up. Meaning keeping the water very stable A+ in my book .
I did go though 3 pumps in 4 years

I wouldn't go with anything else. Very reliable. I've had my for three years and still working with the original pump.

Worth every penny. As far as setting up I thought it was rather easy.

I have used many different ATOs over the years and the Tunze wins hands down. With all the safety features and the customer support the cost is low in my opinion.

How much lift does the pump have? I am wanting to put a replacement water reservoir in my basement to pump up to the next floor. So, a lift of approx 9 feet. Will this work?

I think that is a bit much to ask of that pump -

had mine about 3.5 years - the sensor has let the pump keep filling about 4 times but the float valve safety turns it off and then I clean the sensor - a bit surprising that I have to do this and I never hear of others having to - so I have my float valve mounted pretty darn close to water level so it does not add too much - otherwise I think it quits overfilling after 10 minutes so nothing to be really concerned with - just know, unless mine is exceptionally not up to standards that it can hiccup. The motor is original and seems strong. I have no regrets and generally feel good about the unit.

I did hear back from Roger, and with the addition of a different plug, you can run a larger pump. Another thing for the list.

any specfics like what pump will it run and the plug - it won't run a non dc pump - correct? - this is of interest to me to see what pumps it will power - good that you asked for your application. I bet there are other solutions too to get your ATO water up the 9 feet
