How long before you guys change out your T5 bulbs ???

Just wonderin how long before you guys change them... and which combination of types do you guys have on your fixtures?

I change out at the one year mark, mostly cause I had noticed a bit of color shift of the Aquablue special bulbs I used. The ballast used to drive the T5 would make a difference too, since ballasts like the Icecaps overdrive the T5.

I use the aquablue specials, actinic +, and the UVL super actinic T5's. The T5's as supplements to my MH's and for dusk/dawn effects.

in my Solar Flare i use 2 UVL Aqua Suns 2 KZ Coral light and 2 UVL Actinic

However i think i am going to swap out a Aqua Sun for another Coral light and swap a Actinic for a Fiji Purple

Haven't had mine long enough, but Greg from reefgeek said 15 months or so with the Triad ballast. I'm running 4x24 in the following order:

Front
ATI Blue Plus
Giesemann 11k
ATI Blue Plus
UVL Super Actinic
Back

I wanted to add an aquasun but I don't have enough bulbs so the red really washes out the tank... looks terrible. I would put in an aquasun & another Giesemann 11K or an ATI Aquablue if I were doing a 8 bulb setup.

I swapped mine after 10 months. Here's my combination from front to back.

* ATI Blue Plus
* ATI Aquablue Special
* Korallen-Zucht Fiji Purple
* Korallen-Zucht Coral Light
* ATI Aquablue Special
* ATI Blue Plus

Thats pretty much true to color right. No wash out, too red, too yellow or bluish look ???? I want a combination that gives to to life color.

I think so, in fact I like it better now after putting those 2 KZ bulbs. Before that, I have another Aquablue & True Actinic in the combination.
