How long can a haddoni survive being sick?

Just trying to figure something out.

If a haddoni that has generally looked good and retracts very very quickly whenever disturbed yet was sick - would it have made 6 + months and able to eat?

Only concern is another carpet in the tank where it was kept (a very long time ago and has continued since) decided to go under a rock and has been bleaching out and mouth has been opened (in a spot that cannot be reached)- yet all other carpets look good.

Is there a possibility of a carpet being sick where it is contagious when nothing has been added to the tank (and no anemones in over a year) or will a very stressed carpet that was just moved tanks/ removed from a spot deep in the sand it has been for 1.5 + years have it's mouth open to the point you can see the two ostiums I believe (white tubular, have like an indentation) as well as black space?

I'm perplexed... can an infection have manifested for over a one year period - not show in any other anemones of the same species and then show itself when moved?

I am almost considering giving a 4- 12 hour cipro bath to all healthy anemones from the same tank before moving them to the one. I am not about to treat carpets for a full length of treatment that have not moved/ been eating/ have shown no signs of illness/ nothing has been added to them in over a year (not rock, not coral, not fish, not an anemone). Only thing fed was fresh salmon/ tuna. And the anemone was not exhibiting signs of stress that I have ever seen (it looked like a sick carpet - almost pancake-y, hollow mouth, ostiums showing, extremely loose mouth), I have moved many carpets/ acclimated them etc. I know it probably wouldn't do anything... but this doesn't make sense. Unless this infection has laid dormant for over a year and all of a sudden activated after putting the anemone through stress? Also, if the anemone was with the large healthy carpet for about 4 hours in ~250 gallons of water, what is the likely hood of it making the large one sick? He did eat a bit when some salmon fell on him (the large one) while the "sick" one was in with him
