Not so sure this is true. If you bought a bottle of drinking water from the store, opened it, closed it, and kept it in the fridge for a month. Its not going to be the same from the time you bought it. Taste and smell. IMO running ro/di water into a bucket and closing the container is not giving you any sort of great fresh seal. Its not vac. tight. I've found this to be true from hoarding water from the LFS. Before I got my own unit. So, is water that smells and tastes different as it sits bad for the tank? I don't know. I know that I myself did it for some time till it was brought to my attention by my buddy at the LFS as being a bad idea. Now when I make RO/DI water its in my tank within 5hrs.
