how long do u lieave your lights on

That's probably the shortest I'd go with. My lights run for 10 hours a day. Anything above that tends to cause nuisance algae, at least in my tank with Kessil A360W.

LED's ramp up for 4 hours then t5's come on for 4 hours then led's spend 4 hours ramping back down for a total of 12 hours on my tank.

I have my hydra52's at 12 hours. 3 hours ramp up 6 hours at full power and 3 hours ramp back down.

Is it good to ramp for that long? I'm at 90 minutes. I should try the longer ramp up and down

I have Reefbrites Ramp up from 5% to 40% from 8am to 10am 4 Blue Plus bulbs then come on from 10am to 830PM, My other 4 T5 bulbs come on from 12 to 6pm these bulbs are 2 B+, 1C+, and 1 Figi Pink. My Reefbrites back down from 40% to 5% from 830 to 11pm. Also have 5 Kessils that run all day ramping up and down from 10am to 930 pm. The Kessils fill in the LED pop in the center of tank and give me a daily dose of shimmer.

I have found that my fish spawn and go crazy the last hour before the lights go out as the tank gets very dim. I run a very long cycle because I like to enjoy the tank. The Reefbrite strips with dimmer module on Apex make for true Sunrise to Sunset. An addition I recommend for every tank that runs T5. My XHO strips never run more than 60% unless I am showing off the tank, 60% max for the Kessils as well. I started out dimming the T5 bulbs but found my bulbs did not last that long so when the T5 are on the bulbs are at 100%.

Wrasses mostly, Flames, Rose Band, Earlie, and some others, Also have Bartletts that go nuts in these times. The Fish are flashing and acting all that.

ReefBrite - 9am(ramp up to 100% at 12) - 9pm (ramp down begins at 8pm)
Dusk/Dawn - 12pm - 8pm
Daylight - 1pm - 730pm

Looks like my schedule is short compared to others. I wonder if my tank would benefit from a longer lighting schedule?

I think you can have the blues on for a really long time, but the whites can cause issues if they're on for too long imo
