How long do you run your halides??

i plan on running them for 7-8 hours. Any longer seems useless to me, since no where in nature do corals/reefs get more then 4-5 hours of direct sunlight (usually 10am to 2 pm)

We have 4 ea 250W MH that are on for 5 hours on a 200 gal tank. They are two at a time with a two hour spacing.
