How long does it take for General Cure to remove internal parasites

Hello,

One of my clownfish has been having symptoms of white stringy poop. I've been treating him for the past 4 days, of which the first 3 were with metroplex bounded to food with focus and the last day with general cure bounded to focus. She's been eating really well, is not lethargic and isn't really hiding. I'm just curious how long it usually takes for the poop to improve based on people's experiences with similar issues.

By the way, she's inside a quarantine tank. I'm hesitant to dose the water with Gc or Metroplex and prefer to bind with food. Also, am I not using enough focus? Basically 1 scoop focus with 1 scoop GC with a TBSP of pellets with some Garlic Guard.

Thanks!

Some strains of intestinal worms/internal parasites are especially resilient. It's not unheard of for it to take 2-3 weeks of medicated food to completely clear them. 1 scoop of GC + 1 scoop of Focus per 1 TBSP of pellets or frozen is what I use. If you are still seeing white stringy poo after 2-3 weeks, switch over to food soaking straight metro.

A quick follow up, but is there any reason to believe medication bonds differently between pellets and brine shrimp? I feed my small clowns small tiny pellets mixed with focus and GC. I’m wondering if using brine shrimp is more effective.

Thanks!

I find medication binds better to "porous" pellets & frozen food.
