How long for BTA to split?

Not how long does it take for them to start splitting, but once they start, how long does that normally take?

My RBTA was stretched between two rocks on Monday, like it was being ripped in half. It definitely looked like there was a seperate foot on each rock.

Last night, it looked somewhat normal...it was kinda fat, i coulnt see its mouth (but it was also towards the backside of the rock). I coulndt find any other clone it may have created.

Pics are from monday.

I have had an rbta split in a matter of half hour or a bit more; had a gbta with two functioning mouths for over a year(never split), and had the same aforementioned rbta split(approx. 95%, split so both had pieces of the mouth) it was late so I went to bed and woke up to find the split was canceled and the clones grew back together. Long story short it can be a fairly quick process but certainly can take 24+ hours.

You could always take a scalpel to the remaining connective tissue (assuming each clone has a mouth), but IMO i'd let nature do its' thing. It appears you will most likely have a couple of btas soon enough! Congrats!

Didnt realize they could stop mid split and grow back together. Looks like thats what happened as of now, but hard to tell cause of how its positioned. Guess I just have to wait.

Most of the time if it decides to split it wont grow back together but I usually put a small rock between the two. Like jmadison said you can use a scalpel to help it out if you want but its best to just let them do their thing
