How long for Clownfish to host in an anemones

From my experience I for my percs I had a gbta , rbta , haddoni carpet. They were in the tank for months didn't host anything. Till a member D-nak taught me about natural host. So I got a h.mag anemone and within two days they jumped right in

I agree that the difference between natural an unnatural hosts is huge in terms of hosting rate. Unfortunately, the three natural hosts for ocellaris: s. gigantea, s. mertensi, and h. magnifica are very difficult to keep and should only be attempted by advanced aquarists.

BTA is not a natural host for ocellaris so it could be anywhere from immediately to never.

My Ocellaris were in the tank about a year and never went near any of my RBTA or GBTA. It wasn't till I found and added my Mag that they hosted anything.

It took my pair about a month before they ended up using the RBTA as a host. I did tape a few pictures of clownfish in anemones to the outside of the tank near the side where the anemone was, and they ended up entering the anemone about 5 days later. I'm not sure if it was just coincidence or not, but you might give that a try if your clownfish don't seem interested in your bubble tip at all.
