How long for clowns to completely host?

Hi

Can someone tell me how long, after clowns start entering an anemone, does it take for clowns to start feeding the nem? Or considering they're captive bread, are they likely to feed the nem at all? Cheers. :beer:

Some clowns do it right away, some never at all. Just depends on the individuals I suppose.
My (and other's) theory is that they are not trying to feed the anemone at all, they are simply hiding food, it just so happens to be an anemone's mouth
Oh and being captive bred has nothing to do with it, just another myth.

It is certainly a myth.

I have two juvenile onyxes from a local breeder that have never ever seen an anemone and they were in my new rbta within 5 minutes of the nem planting down.
