how long is enough?

Hello. I've been running my 5.5 gallon for a year now. I'm moving all of it into my 30 gallon cube.

I have two questions...

Is it a good idea to put carpet padding under the 30 gallon cube (between the tank and the stand)? And does it matter which side of the carpet pad is up?

Second question...

Will I need to wait another 6 months before I put in an anemone or will it be ok now? Since I am putting in the year old aged stuff, to which I will add about 20 pounds of pre cured LR and some live sand too.

What do you think?

I'd say to give it a while, at least a couple of months, even if your tank is cycled. That way you and your tank have time to bond and you can get used to the way your tank runs.
No sense in rushing the acquirement of an animal that can live for many, many years.
