How long must silicone cure?

dumb question: How long do I need to wait for silicone to "cure" before placing it back in the tank? It's really just holding a couple of small pieces of acrylic to the sides/bottom of my skimmer in the overflow (nothing structural).

It's tacky in 30 minutes, dry in 1 hour, and fully cured in 24 (according to the package).

Will it hurt the tank if I put it in before 24 hours?

wait at least 24hrs as the silicone cures it off gasses.

My package said cured in 24 hrs, but dont fill with water for 48 hrs.
