How long to leave my tank empty

Hello all, I had a terrible ich outbreak and now I have removed all the fish from my tank. I have a couple of questions:

1. How long should I keep my tank empty with the filter running before I can start restocking?

2. Do I also need to remove snails and coral frags?

2. Do I also need to remove snails and coral frags? no
