How long until foot attaches?

Hi all,
I just got my first crocea clam last night. I placed him on a rock that would be good for him to attach to - I can easily move it up in the tank towards the lights.

How long should I expect it to take for the clam to attach its foot to the rock?

What size is the Crocea that you have?
What lighting?

The crocea is 4" or so. It's larger than I expected.

Normally a Tridacna crocea will attach within a week.

You're using dual 400watt radium halides +HQI halides as well? Thats a ton of light- does the power company give you any rebates?

I set mine in on a Sat night, I went to move him the next afternoon, and it didn't want to move. I could have pulled and maybe they weren't too well attached but I didn't want to hurt it. It was stuck pretty good and I would have needed to cut. Seemed really fast to me but it's my first one.
