How long until it gets comfortable?

I got a RBTA on Monday and it spent the first day very contracted. Since then it has been gradually expanding. I fed it twice since then and it eats with no problem.

It fills out a little more after it eats.

Should I be concerned that it hasn't totally opened up yet, or is this just the acclimation process?

i would say that it is trying to acclimate to your tank. they dont tend to open right away. but he needs to find a good place to plant his foot. then he should open. if not then i would be worried.
