We have a pair of true percs. We bought them nearly one year ago. They are tank raised, and were a little over an inch long when we bought them.
One was larger than the other, and it wasn't long before we observed dominance in the larger of the two. The smaller of the two quivered in reponse, etc. and they seemed to bond quickly. Never far apart.
Now they have started hosting an rbta (a small one). The female is usually in the nem while the male swims along outside it.
Today I noticed the two swimming closely side-by-side next to the nem. The male was doing his "seizure". Is this just more of their bonding behavior? Or, are they old enough to spawn? Perhaps they've been stimulated by now hosting a nem?
Just curious
