i just bought one...but it is similar in size with the one im having in the tank.thats the standard size of clown fishes here...currently they are fighting...and im worried it might kill it..how long will it take for this thing to be over? :help:

You should pick up the Wilkeson book (sp?) called "Clownfishes". When I read it, I believe it said this could happen until the death of one, that's why you should buy a smaller or larger one rather than same size.

Hopefully someone else replies, good luck. I would remove it and look for a different size fish,

u may want to buy a hang on guppy breeder and hang it in your tank and up the more beat up one in it tell they some hang out time,, and them maybe after a wile see how it gos..

good luck

its all was best to by small tankraise ,, if u dont u take the chance

I had the same thing happen to my clowns. They both got along for several months and then one day the more aggressive one wouldnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t let the other one eat or even swim. I put a little 5 gallon tank inside of my main display tank and put the less aggressive one in there. He finally started eating and looking better so I tried to put him back in the main tank and the same thing happened as before. I would recommend trying to return the clown or see if any locals would like to trade it for a smaller one.

How large are the clownfish? Hopefully they are both juveniles and not two females. Because if that is the case the fighting wonââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t stop.

Was the clown in the store alone? You can't put two females together. All clowns are born male. Only the largest in a group will become female. Once a clown becomes female it can't change back to a male. So if a clown is left alone long enough it will turn female.

ok....i somehow managed to find a smaller one...they are doin very well now...but the small clown has a mole....is it normal?
