Overnight shipping turned into Friday-Monday shipping due to someone not filling out a form correctly. I can't tell if my aussie scolly will make it... not bacterial infections yet, or tissue melting but also not opening to the light.

Question: How long will zooxanthellae live without light?

Any recommendations for me? I put it in medium light/current... not sure how to work this out with the online store if it dies in a day or two yet... thx!

If it was in a bag that long i wouldnt be worried about it not having light. I would be worried about temp and lack of flow. Corals can go a few days without light fine when i didnt have a timer i would got to my parents house for the weekend and leave the light off and never had any problems. Im not sure on the exact amount of time a coral can go without light but im sure someone on here does and good luck with your coral hope it gets better.

Ask for a refund? Even if it makes it, the shop should still be able to offer some store credit for the mistake.

Ya i would ask for a refund aswell i made an order from an online dealer and they sent it to my old address instead of the one i told them to ship it to. I had to go pick them up and i knew they were not going to make it but the online dealer told me not to worrie they mite pull though well 2 frags died in about 2 days the next one slowly died over a week. I have 2 left and 1 is slowly dying.I should have asked for a full refund but i was not 100% sure if they were all going to die so i only got a refund for the fist 2 that died now im out quite abit of cash.

If it didn't show up completely bleached and dissolving off the skeleton it's pretty safe to assume it'll be fine.
