Ok going through my first molt with my Mantis shrimp and was wondering how lont it takes on average. Mine has been barricaded in his burrow for 2 days now.

It depends on the species and size. It is not uncommon for a G. chiragra adult to stay closed for 10 days. A 1.5 inch N. wennerae can be active again in a couple of days. A loarge lysiosquilla can completely seal its burrow for over two weeks.

What species do you have and what size is it?

I believe it is a G. Smithii about 4 inches or so

You are probably looking at a week to 10 days.
