how many drops per minute?

I just started dosing two part and I'm trying to figure out how much to dose per minute. According to my calculations... I have 80g total volume. So I'm starting at .5 ml per gallon per day. That should be 40ml a day. Now my question is how many drops per ml? I looked online and I get a few answers... 20 drops per ml, 25 per ml, depends on what the liquid is, etc... Is there a standard in reef aquaria? I'm using some enteral feeding bags as dosers and I'm starting out at 1 drop per 2 mins. Does that sound right? :spin3:

Get 2 measureing beakers and 2 cheap digital timers or a reefkeeper and just set tiimers to run for a few minutes per hour x 8hr. Then simply adjust minutes from there. You will also know exactly how much your dosers put out per min. Really simple with timers, controllers

Drops vary a lot in size depending on the dropper. I would let the drip go for a while and see what happens. It's safe no matter what the drip rate.

It's just that I have two bags and I want to make sure they are dripping at the same rate. Over time, a small difference can add up. I'm dosing kalk so I used recipe two. I want to make sure I don't end up adding too much too quickly. Thanks for your replies people.

If my cal and alk start to go up I may lower the kalk amount as that is easier to do than tweaking a little knob on the dripper.

I'd just add a fixed amount to the bags every day, and make sure it all drips out before 24 hours are up. It's not critical to be precise about the drip time, as long is it's less than 24 hours.
