How many hrs. of light?

I have a Haddoni and LTA in a 75g w/ 250w hamilton hqi over them. I also have had a hair algea problem sence I upgraded to the 250w.
I would like to cut back the light to help get rid of the hair algea, so my question is, how may hours of light do the nems need to stay helthy?

Cut back on light is not a good way to get rid of hair algae, because corals and anemone, especially your anemone will pay the price. Water change and snails and other algae eater is the way to go.

I know that phosphates and nitrates are a big cause of hair algea, but in my tank they both test at 0 ppm, evin out of the tap water I use, are there more than 1 type of phosphate that my test kit does not take into account?

What type of test kit do you have? It could be a goofy test, or not registering right or something.

You could introduce a nitrate competitor (macroalgae) to try to minimize the hair algae. In my brief experience, fighting hair algae has been the biggest problem. I have tried to get myself into a rhythm, where I just say that today, after I get home from work, I'm going to pull out ten good sized patches, then tomorrow another ten, etc...and after a while it gets pretty manageable.
