how many powerheads?

Thanks in advance for your help. Setting up a 75g tank and will be getting the ecotech vortech powerheads. How many should I get? Would 1 be enough or should I get 2? Thanks.

2 will be plenty. I would do 1 with cheaper ones as bonuses. Tunze is the next best IMO.

I used to run dual Seio 820s on my 75g and then replaced with one Koralia 4. Vortechs are great and I'm running 2 on my 240g which is going to be a mixed reef. If your just going to keep lps and softies I would just go the Koralia route and spend the money left over from not buying a Vortech on some corals.

It's going to be a mixed reef. If I understand correctly, buy one vortech and supplement with one other less expensive powerhead?

I have no personal experience with Vortech but...you know eventually you're gonna go SPS.... it'll happen....

More flow is alway better....Shrooms and some lps don't agree most sps and softies do....
