how many splits of DT's before problems feeding copepods?

I have a few Tisbe cultures going for my mandarin and I want to start some other copepod cultures for some finicky fish

I also have some phytoplankton cultures going from DT's. I know that I will eventially have one species of phyto that outcompeted the others down the road. Will that eventually effect my copepod cultures in a negative way?????

If I've researched correctly, that shoudlnt matter. Yes, a good variety of phyto is a bonus, but, you should be fine with one type. I've read going with must nannochloropsis is a very easy and healthy route

It's possible that your copepods won't be as nutritious, especially if they're not getting enough DHA or some other amino acids. I'm not sure that DTs is the best for feeding copepods to begin with though.

Either way, DTs, nanno, or the myriad of other phyto strains will work.

nanno is not a great phyto for copepods. Great for bulk rotifer culture if you intend on enriching the rots prior to feeding.
