How many streams on a 5 ft 180

Roger,

I am upgrading from a AGA 110 (basically a 90 high) to a Oceanic 180. The tank dimensions are 5 ft long 2 ft wide and 30 inches tall. I have 4 6100's that I have acquired from various sources. Your thoughts on placement within the tank particulary given it's height? I have two of them on the 110 mounted about 10 inches from the top, one in each corner both pointed toward the center front glass. Given that the 110 and this 180 are the same height (30 inches) I am looking to solve a problem I have now with inadequate flow at the bottom of the tank in the back behind the rock structure. I have about a 3 inch sand bed that I intend to repeat. Tank content from the 110 will be moved to the 180, mix of SPS and Zoo's mushrooms etc.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts

You should have more than enough flow. Placement is a trial and error process, if you have some sort of drawing of your proposed rock work I may be able to make some suggestions on where to start.

one in each corner, up high. the 6100's are awsome and if you set the controller in interval mode, you will get the back and forth motion we all desire in a reef tank.
