+1 more importantly success is measured in years and decades, not months. When the clown and sohal are full grown we will see how it works out in a 300g. Envy isn't the motivating factor in people advising against it.

I have 3 in my 190g. The desjardini is getting too big so I'm going to find him a better home soon. I won't be replacing him with another tang, I feel 2 will be perfect in my tank as I have a high fish load already.

Jealous. I have a Sohal, a rescue Purple and Yellow (out of the ones in your collection). Didn't have any luck with clown tang a few years ago. Love their look/colours though. Never been a huge fan of sailfins, myself, and I find powders & regal blues (along with the beautiful Achilles) to be major ick-magnets, which is why I no longer keep these species.

I lost my purple tang yesterday. It was doing good in the 75 gallon hypo tank that I have been treating all my fish in. The only thing I can think might have happened is when I moved it into the tank its tail barb was stuck bad in the net and I had to manually grab the fish and move it around to free the barb after it was thrashing around trying to free itself. It was a super fat and happy fish, real bummer.

Thanks I'm not a fan of the sailfin my self but the only two tang I've purchased were the sohal and clown. The 4 other tangs were given to me by club members in my local reef club.

I *had* a 6" Clown tang that would viciously attack my hand and anything else that went into the tank.

LMAO. I just pictured that, after spending the day with my tangs chasing me moving rock. Could imagine an aggressive clown
