How many Vortech mp40w

Suggestions:
I have a 120g 48x24x24 sps dominated tank.
could I get good flow and wave making with one Vortech or should I budget for two?

2, no doubt. Place them about 6-8inches from the surface of the water. And place one near the back of the glass, and one near the front.

Youll get good wave action this way.

If you want you can go barebottom and go 100% speed. If you have sand, depending on how small the grains are, youll need to adjust the speed of your pumps so you dont get bare spots.

I dont think youll go back after getting 2. What you can do though is get 1 and see if its enough. But I can already tell you if you get just 1 youll want another.

If you get noise from the pump motor, dont be alarmed, just turn the wetside and fidget with it a bit and the noise will go away. Many people have "issues" because they dont know what they are doing. I have 2 of these and they are nearly dead silent.
