So this summer my temp has always reached 82 so my chiller kicks on drops 1 degree. Now winter is approaching couple cooler days has already dropped my 82 down to 79 within a half days time. I updated my apex to turn cooling fans off at 80 thinking to minimize any large temp swings. Is this a good idea? What do others do in these situations? Here in Phoenix temps have been bouncing around during October hit nearly 100 degrees again this week. To save money my central A/C is set at 85 so tank temp gets to 82 quickly. When the humidity is under 40 percent it can be 87 in my apartment and tank stays at 81 so it also depends on the humidity especially if raining the chiller goes crazy. To bring in fresh air when central A/C running to help lower humidity I open a window and let a fan blow in air. Hurts my electric bill but what other alternatives do I have don't want to wear out my chiller.
