How much can the Turbelle 6000 pivot?

RV,

Thanks in advance for answering this question. I have a 48x36x30 inch tank with a short end as the back of the tank and viewable three sides. The entire back is an trapezoidal overflow. I'd like to get 2 6000's to augment the flow. I was thinking of putting them on the long side and angling (if possible) the Streams down the length of the tank.

In other words, how much can the Stream pivot on its holder?

About 60 degrees without the magnet holder and maybe 30 degrees with. Likely you can hit the opposite corner from where they are positioned.

Thanks RV!

Another quick question. What would be the best way to mount the Streams. The tank is acrylic and the back wall or back side wall where I would like the streams to be is not near an opening in the top of the tank. I need the 60 degrees, so the magnet holders won't work. Should I just glue the holder to the side of the tank? What do you think? Thanks!

How thick is the acrylic and how long is the bracing? With kit 3000.26 you can fashion an L bracket to run under the brace and then down, the limit is a 6" brace but it works better on 4" or less bracing. If the acrylic is very thick (3/4" or more) one of my customers who does acrylic fabrication drills part way through the acrylic near the top and then taps the hole and secures the bracket with a short nylon screw. If you want to drill the perimeter brace near the edge to accomodate the clamp over the vertical pane this is another option.

The acrylic is 3/4". The brace where the pumps are to be mounted is >6" from the wall. I'm sorry, could you clarify what you mean by "drill the perimeter brace near the edge to accomodate the clamp over the vertical pane this is another option."

Thanks again for all your help.

The clamp is about 1" wide, so if you have a hole right where the brace meets the pane you can just clamp around the side pane of the tank through the hole in the brace.
