How much flow is to much flow

I have a 125gallon FOWLER tank. There is a wet dry drip filter and a eheim 2215 canister filter. I some small power heads on it there are old and don't do much. I had some dead spots in the corners of my tank when I would vaccume the sand bottom the water would be black so I got a aquatop cps-24 and cps-12 for it they have been going for about a month now. I noticed a big increase in the amount of filter feeding hitchhikers on my live rock and started growing some anemones on accident. This morning I found my blue spotted puffer stuck to one of the circulation pumps dead. I was gifted this fish from a friend that gave the hobby up. I am wondering do I have too much circulation/flow is it harming my fish? I have only had a salt water tank for about two years.
Tank specs
60inch L
26 inch H
18.5 inch w
45-60lb live rock mixed kinds
40-60lb live sand
1-spotted leopard grouper
1-prcupine puffer
1- green bird wrass
1- black white stripe convict damsiel
1-tomato clown
1-fox face

Do I have to much flow?suggestions besides get rid of the bird wrass and grouper

3100gph + 1300gph = 4400gph / 125gallon = 35x turnover rate not including canister filter is just fine and would be in the "low/medium" flow..
Some run 75 too 100x display volume (heavy flow sps tanks,etc..)

On average 30-50x is a good starting point and certainly not too much flow..

Depending on the fish or corals natural habitat, they may prefer more or less flow but in general, more flow is better.
