How much food is too much food

Sorry to post two in a row but this overfeeding thing has me worried. I have a 180 gal with 3 250's 14K, skimmer, Ca Reactor and filter socks. My corals are ok but pretty brown. The phosphate, if I am right reading that damn chart, is about .05 or less. CA is 420 and DkH is 6.2, but I just kicked up the reactor to adjust over eight.

It's not how much that goes in, but how effectively whatever's left gets removed that's important. Once those are in balance and the critters are happy, you're feeding about right.

ive got a 180 and i would say i average three cubes of mysis a day, along with cyclopeeze, oyster eggs, nori.... if you water isn't staying clear and clean, then you are feeding too much, or rather aren't exporting enough. i would rather make sure everything is fed, and in a healthy reef tank there should be enough scavengers to take up any excess food.
