Yes, there is a problem with high light and O. scyllarus. Dr. Roy has mentioned several times that they are a deeper water species, and that bright lights can contribute to shell disease ( ).
Hopefully, Dr. Roy will chime in (hint, hint) on just what constitutes too bright of a light.
I need to figure out what I can light/ keep with mine when I move them into their own 30 gallon tanks as well.
