How much Live Rock?

I am trying to get into this hobby the right way this time with a simple setup. I bought a Eclipse 30 gallon tank and have 2 inches of live sand that has been circulating for about 3 days. I have been reading about how I need to cycle the tank and I have still not figured out how much live rock I should start the cycle with, and how much I should have in it in the end. Any help would be much appreciated.

when i did my 29 gallon i put 50LBS total & it looked like a rock tank, i would say 30 & u should be fine, u want to get all the live rock now & cycle it cuz u will go through a small cycle everytime u add rock.

some rocks are more dence than other but if you go with 1-2 lbs per gal. you'll be fine. but get most of it to start with or you will need to cure it in a seperate contanier
