afelder New member Sep 17, 2006 #2 Iwould put about 18-20 lbs in. But put in enough to make it look good. I have about 80 lbs in my 40 gallon. But it doesn't look packed.

sophia101 New member Sep 17, 2006 #3 At least one lb. per gallon which would be 14 lbs in your case. You should do more though...like afelder said...18 lbs is great.
