How much load does a nem put on your system?

Corals put a negative load on your system. They remove nutrients as a group they remove nutrients. Same with anemones unless you feed them. They don't put out any waste unless they eat.

Remove nutrients as in eating fish poop and other waste? Could you explain?

I think he is talking about the algae in a nem would consume nitrates, phosphates ect. But I guess the answer is that it depends. If you feed heavy have filets tigon that can deal with it

As a group photosynthetic coral have a net negative effect on nutrients, like plants. They take up nutrients instead of put out nutrient.
Im my tank, Nitrate and phosphate measured at 0. I have to feed my anemone or else they get smaller.
On land, plants take up carbon, nitrate, phosphate. So are coral and they grow. Fish and non photosynthetic animals have to eat and poop out nutrients. Even tangs, the put the nutrients lock up in algale back into the water column by eatting them than poop out the waste.

I have 5 RBTAs and a dozen rock anemones in a 10 gal tank, actual water volume 6 gals. The RBTAs are about 5 inches across when open. I feed them as much mysis as they'll eat every couple of weeks.

No skimmer, no carbon, just an aquaclear with some rock in it. I change 2 gals of water every 2 weeks.

They're thriving.

There are no fish in the tank. Just a hermit and a couple of snails.

Anemone load on a system ?

Next to nothing.

RBTA, and rock anemone are a lot different then gig and mag.

Those Nems are small. One of Taylor's Gigantea will take up that entire tank.

Water will cloud quickly.
