I ost my cheat sheet to tell me how much salt to add per gallon of water? It is not on my 200 gallon bucket of Tropic Marin Pro. Is it one cup per gallon. TIA
Larry you REALLY need a refractometer or hydrometer to check the water with. The instructions that comes with salt are not always right and are more for a base guide.
Yeah guys, I have and use a refractometer, just use the cup to gallon methods to get me in the ballpark, then I add salt or RO/DI H2O as needed to get me 1.026. But thanks forthe concern and advice.

You have to love the passion of fellow reefers. That is what I love about this site, people really want to make sure you do it right. and also quick responses.
Not to say Larry doesn't know, but a lot of people don't know there is a difference between refractometers and hydrometers. They're both 'ometers right?

For some reason, I only have to use a little over 2 cups per five gallons of water to obtain 1.025 with Tropic Marin. I usually just add two cups and then let it mix in for a little while with a powerhead and add accordingly until I get it to 1.025. Instructions do say 1/2 a cup per gallon though. Go figure. And yes, I use a refractometer.
