Contact your local vet and ask them to sell you a couple of tablets of Chloraphenical. It's an anti-biotic used for horses and large dogs.
It should be a large yellow pill. set up a bucket, or plastic shoe box with your tank water. Pop in a small powerhead and cut the pill in 1/2 to let it dissolve.
Let the coral bathe for up to an hour - The time depends on how quickly the water temp drops in the bucket. I work outside so the temp drops quickly.
Be careful handling the pill - Wear gloves, and don't breathe in the dust when you cut it.
Once your done with the water, make sure you dump it in the toilet, not in the yard, it's harmful to plants and animals (Isn't that strange).
After the chlora dip, try a Lugol's Dip ( I use 2 eyedroppers per 1g) and let that sit for up to an hour.
2 days of this stops most bacterial infections and sometimes stops the loss of tissue.

Ouch, that sounds like more stress to a coral. Would you recommend waiting a few days?
Steve, we have faith in you. Im not worried.
