How often do you guys feed your mantis?

Hello:

I wanted to get a quick survey of how often most of you guys are feeding your mantis shrimp.

I will start I feed my Peacock 2x per week by dropping 1-2 Peppermint shrimp in its aquarium, they sometimes last a few days, sometimes they go down quickly.

I plan to feed my new Cilliata 2x per week 1 krill per sitting.

Please post your feeding habbits, I am interested in knowing what people with more mantis experiance than me are doing.

Regards,

Estefano

I like to feed my zebra a small silverside or two every 2 or 3 days. He hasn't caught on to live foods yet, so far he has a black and white striped damsel and a small peppermint shrimp as neighbors.

Other than the snails my OS eats from the tank, I give him a crayfish or piece of shrimp 2-3 times per week.

My N.Wennerae/Bredini gets his 2.5 gal stocked with 1/2 doz snails or so about every 3-4 weeks. If they all get depleted before I re-up, once a week or so I'll use my tongs to offer mysis one at a time (He eats from the tongs), so as not go get them everywhere.

Oh, and he loves Cyclopeze like it's popcorn. I know it's vitamin packed, and I like to offer some variety, so I give him a little snack of it when I feed it to the main reef tank. Again, just a little bit, and targeted right to him with a pipette, from which he'll also take food directly.

I cut quarter cubes of frozen mysis for my g.smithi every 4-5 days. She usually grabs it form the tongs before its defrost.

Yeah it keeps them using their raps. I heard about it on here, i forget who from.

I've tried that with mine and he just sticks his head in and pulls whatever I stuff in there out. little bugger has only gotten one snail since I put him in the tank a month ago. I think he just like being fed shrimp on a stick.
