I had a very small rock anemone that i realized split into 2 over night. it was only about 3 inches in diameter. was not expecting this at all. someone care to explain?
What would you like explained? "Rock anemone" covers a pretty broad range, and some "rock anemones" split fairly small. Your case doesn't sound particularly unusual.
Please post a pic, you could be describing rock flower nems (e. crucifer) or tulip anemones...or possibly majanos. All are attractive (not always desireable) and occur in groups...they may just be really close together to appear as one. I've NEVER heard of anemones reabsorbing its clone.
