How old is your clownfish?

My Maroon Clownfish has been in my tank for 9 years now. I am wondering if anyone knows what the life expectancy would be for the fish? Who has the oldest Clown on RC?

Thanks

Mine are old four (alsmost five!) But I've heard their captive life expectancy can be as high as 30 years. I cannot guarantee that though as I don't remember where I heard this!

my true perc in my avatar has been in my care for 6years and it was a full grown wild caught adult so who knows how old it is. my black occ just turned 2. ive read on here a long time ago in a similar thread to this that there were some people with clowns 20 to 25years old and still spawning.

I just saw a thread on Reef Discussion, "What's the oldest fish in your tank you've ever had", that has fish much older than my Maroon clown.

My clown draws more of my blood than the blood bank, but I really hope she lives a long life. I just need to keep my hand out the tank and we will both be happier.

There's a local breeder of clowns here that just acquired a pair of Maroons that have been paired for 19 years, and they were bought as adults.

Actually Arati this fireclown is 16. That 18 year old was a brutlyd or cusk eel

I had a pair of WC ocellaris that I had for 18 years and were still breeding. Unfortunately they died from a mistake I made trying to use a slime algae cure. It was a very sad day. I almost quit keeping tanks altogether.
