MH-175W XM20K
MH-175 CoralVue 10K
'' '' '" 20K
" "" " 14K
MH175 W Ushio 10K
MH 250w XM 10k
MH """""""""'''20K
"""250 Coralvue 10K
MH ' " ' 20K
"" " 14K
MH 400 w
In combo with T5 bulbs choice Both blue actinic
1 blue actinic/1 pure actinic
both pure actinic
Way to many choices for a beginner, would like to start with easy clam and work up to maxima down the line. Thanks for any feedback in advance!!!

Even when the clams slam shut their shells, they dont make any sound what so ever. As far as clam lighting goes you cant go wrong with a 250 set up.... bulb and kelvin color is a mater of personal preference...10K 14k and 20K are the most popular....My preference is a 14k DE AC/phoenix off of a HQI Ballast

Are you serious about them being quiet? I can't even get any sleep anymore. They are VERY loud at night when the lights go out. My wife wants me to get rid of all of them.

Just goofing about how quiet is a clam ? (trying to get your attention)But serious about the lighting, dont know which combo to go with??

Go with MH, I have 250 watt 10K Ushios's. I don't have any actinic, but I'd suggest it. My Corcea's and Maxima's love it.

I would suggest starting with a clam that is 3+ inches in size. smaller than 3 inches, they need to be fed phyto and can be a little more difficult.
